ten months

Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it! Prov. 22:6, And ye Fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Eph. 6:4
Our training has begun in full swing now! We have a crawler! It is such a joy to watch her grow and develop her very own God given personality! She makes us laugh daily at all her expressions!  She is learning that some cupboards are ok and some are not. That's its ok to pull her books off the shelf but not mama's. And pulling all the toilet paper off a brand new roll is not cool either! Oh, but hugging and kissing daddy when he comes home from work and cuddling with mama in the morning is totally ok and welcomed with loving hearts! We love you Sophia, and thank Jesus that he choose to spare your little life, may we receive the wisdom it takes to raise you for His kingdom!

Ps. I think I forgot to announce on my blog that Lord willing next May we will welcome baby number two! I am starting to feel better (not spending the day on the couch)!        So praise be to God!
Yesterday my sister, Sophia and I went to hear the heartbeat, which I LOVE and look forward to every month! Well we heard it a tiny bit! It was so active that we couldn't hear it very long! It made me laugh with joy that we have a healthy baby and can't wait to feel it move!

Handfuls of Purpose

A couple Sundays ago we heard this sermon, and I really really loved the thoughts!! Handfuls of Purpose... We read the story of Boaz and Ruth, and how he still let her work for her food but made her work easier by dropping extra handfuls! That is our purpose in life as followers of Jesus Christ. We are to help make the lives around us easier by helping, take food, babysitting, raking leaves, shopping, visiting, giving a smile or a hug, listening, sending a card, saying a good word about them, etc. How can you help make somebodies day today? Be a cheerful giver, a thankful giver, a loving giver, a passionate giver, be Jesus to someone today!

Sink Campout 2012

Our theme this year was COLOR! I loved this theme! God made color! And he loves it!
If you just stop for a moment and think about color, its amazing what you can come up with!
Pink flamingos, green flowers, red hair, black skin, blue skies, black and white penguins, etc.
Its truly amazing!
This post is in honor of all our dear family who was not able to make it! We missed you!

Little Miss Sunshine!

Some of us colored our hair! We had red and blue and green hair!
The red haired people still had pink hair after they washed it!

The four wheeler got its use... hauling children and food from house to barn and back again!

Grandma and Little S

Our family was the rainbow!
( so sad we are missing two family members)

Great Grandma Sink and Little S

Loved watching these two play together

My dad. Kinda a tradition to show his legs one time a year!

We liked to tease Grandpa, telling him he was color blind!

Even our food was color!

Oh to be silly!

Love watching him be a daddy! He is so good at it!

Daddy, freeedom and love

To celebrate our Dad we got together at my brother in law and sister in laws for the weekend.
Almost everybody made it! We were only missing two family's:(
Saturday night we had campfire and games, Sunday we went to church, ate grilled chicken, roasted
potatoes, salad and chocolate cake. So yummy! Then played more games!
We thank you Lord for a godly earthly father who can lead us in the way of our heavenly Father!

Dad and Mom

My grandma loves me
and
I love her back!

"S" 's Fourth of July and 6 Mon. dress I made her.
Made a skirt and then sewed a shirt to it.
That way her shirt stays down over her rather large tummy:)

"Fine if you wont put me in bed, this will do just as good!"

Little S 's first Fourth of July and our 4 year anniversary!
I love you, dear husband! Let spend the next 50 years together, if it be Gods will!

She totally loved the fireworks! Despite it being several hours past her bedtime,
she could not take her eyes off of them! When they were really bright she would scrunch up
her eyes! So cute:)

Thank you Lord for the freedom we have to serve and love you!
